I grew up on this story so I might be slightly biased but it’s just another female hero for not just girls to look up to.
Even though she’s not 100% the Tomb Raider, she’s still an amazing role model and character to learn from.
It’s a great movie overall! She’s not the total bad*** we know but she’s working on it. It’s not a kids movie but it’s dedinitely not as bad as some make it seem.
Someone’s choking you and you cry as you fight back. Language isn’t even all that bad!! My goodness, there is 3 times more cursing in a Marvel movie than this movie! “Sh*t” “g-damn it” and a f-uh but didn’t use the whole word.Īs for positive role models, someone reviewed it as Lara kills someone with no remorse.were we watching the same movie? She starts crying!! I’d say that’s a little remorseful. nothing a 10 yr old most likely hasn’t seen. Might be some slightly scary moments for kids, but that’s why I rated it 10 and up. right? You see people get shot, punched, staked and something a bit creepier at one point but definitely not gory or even a hard rated pg-13. Of course there’s violence!! It’s about bad guys who want to take over the world, and Lara Croft loves guns. At one point Lara is wearing an exercise outfit, so you can see the actress’ sick abs she worked very hard for! Lol It’s nothing like the originals, no side boob or naked Daniel Craig! Only kissing you see is a Dad kissing his daughters forehead. So the first thing is it’s not a sexual movie in any way. On to the content, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I have seen comments saying Lara isn’t dressed skimpy enough. Those who have played the newer games, it is similar to Rise of the Tomb Raider, but still different enough that you are still watching the movie for the first time(for most things). You learn who she is and why she is the way she is. Not everyone has played the games so not everyone knows who she is, and that’s the point of this reboot. It’s a developmental storyline, and that alone makes it awesome. This movie is a reboot, and it starts with her BECOMING the tomb raider we all know. I’ve seen comments and reviews based on those movies alone.

The movie is expected to see a release come Maso we still have quite a way to go in terms of waiting, but hopefully we’ll be able to expect a teaser trailer in the near future, and maybe a full length trailer by the end of the year. At the moment both Vikander and Wu have been announced as part of the cast. The rebooted movie is said to be based on the rebooted version of the game, which means that we can expect a grittier and younger version of Croft.
The upcoming Tomb Raider movie will be a reboot of the movie franchise in which the role of Croft was played by Angelina Jolie. According to a report from Variety, Wu’s next role will be in the Tomb Raider movie where he will be playing the role of Lu Ren, a ship captain who will be help Lara Croft in her quest to find her father, with Alicia Vikander playing the role of Croft just in case you forgot. That being said, it seems that Wu will be cast in yet another video game movie. Alternatively Wu has also been casted in AMC’s “Into The Badlands”, and if you’re a gamer, you probably know that Wu was also cast to play the role of Gul’dan in the Warcraft movie. If you’re someone who has grown up watching Hong Kong movies, there’s a good chance the name Daniel Wu might be familiar to you.
